Hi there
it would be very kind is someone of the readers could identifying the age or the origin of the figures on the photos.they are marked as made in japan

Most likely Occupied Japan (1950s) or later. These were principally made in Nagoya for export to the west.

The mark "Made in Japan" replaced "Nippon" around 1920, so it may be assumed that your figurine was made no earlier than that time. The mark of "Occupied Japan" came along between 1945 and 1952, though I've read that it was not enforced strictly, and some Japanese items apparently continued to be marked "Made in Japan" during the occupation period.

As Bokaba notes, the Occupation Period helped to jump-start production of decorative items such as these, many of which were blatantly similar to Hummel figurines.
