Subject:Zodiac painting possible Korean?
Posted By: Oliver Wed, Mar 27, 2024 IP: 219.88.181.168

I recently bought some paintings on an auction and they where labeled Japanese prints but I think they may be old Korean paintings of the Sibiji-shin – The Twelve Spirit Generals(zodiac) from Korea. They are not prints as they where advertised but watercolor on very thin (mulberry?) paper. Any more information on them would be appreciated, thanks Oliver

It is Korean
Signature,
素田 Sojeon - Art-name
Upper seal,
金良辛印 Seal of Kim Ryang-Sin - Surname and given name

Unfortunately, I can't identify him.

With regards,
I.Nagy
