Subject:Bowl with indiscernible mark
Posted By: Bry C Wed, Mar 20, 2024 IP: 2600:1003:b015:98a0: Hi all - the pictured is a piece that has been in the family for many years, so we are certain it isn’t too modern, but have no idea what the mark and / or pattern is or the history of the piece. Any information would be welcome!

Posted By: Martin Michels Thu, Mar 21, 2024 In my opinion the mark is the logo (orchid) of Fukagawa 深川 Koransha 香蘭社 (Scented Orchid Company), which was used from the start of Koransha in 1875 and is still used.

Posted By: Bill H Thu, Mar 21, 2024 Your bowl is Japanese with a Fukagawa Company floral mark of ‘Koransha’ (The Scented Orchid Company), probably dating to the late Meiji period (1868 - 1912).
