Seeking for more information about this vase I recently purchased, think it's likely from 1970s, but not positive. Examples online in my research have been contradictory, so anything will be greatly appreciated. It is 12 inches tall, 6 5/8 inches across, and 4 5/8 inches base.

Thank you Bill H.! Think it's maybe from late 70s,saw some in the jingfa catalog for 1978/79 that were same size, style and decoration was same motif. There's some black spots through out the finish, pitting I guess,and some missing enameled spots, mostly very tiny red dots gone, or half gone, and the base was dented at some point. Would it be worth it to have it fixed, do you think?

I have no experience in repair of cloisonné like this and would opine that it would cost more than this modern piece is worth. China’s export art workshops and factories were just getting back on their feet in 1976, when the economically disastrous Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution ended and China’s founding father Mao Zedong’s death paved the way for liberal leadership under Deng Xiaoping. It took a few years for quality to reach present day standards. Small pits and discolorations are normal for cloisonné of this early period and a mark of its age. I believe restoration might be a vanity that actually would depreciate future value. Sometimes small warts are best left alone.
