Subject:Help with rare Japanese Satsuma mark
Posted By: Martin Michels Tue, Feb 23, 2021 IP: 2001:1c03:5805:4100:

I came across this Satsuma koro with a never seen signature, see pictures.
In my opinion it reads from top to bottom "Satsuma Yaki" 薩广焼, the most left Kanji horizontal is "Zo" (made) and then I'm lost.
I can't figure out the name of the maker on the 2 horizontal leaves.
So please, any help or suggestions are welcome.
3 Photos of the mark were taken from different angles.
Thanks in advance.
Martin.

My tentative reading (From right to left),
壽鳳賈造 - Shuhō Akinai Zō - Made by Shuhō Merchant (Company)
The first two characters are sure、but I have some reservatons about the third one. (置、實 ?)
The 賈 semms to be most plausible variation to me.

Dear I.Nagy,
you helped me a lot again.
I have compared the third Kanji with the alternatives Kanji and I think 實 comes the closest in my opinion because the top of that kanji looks very much like 宀.
The Japanese name Dictionaries gives a male first name for 實 : Minoru.
So is that a possibility?
Anyway, thanks again for your help, it's very much appreciated.
Regards,
Martin.
