Hello. We have a set of 12 paintings, all from the same artist, that belongs to our uncle that was in Japan in the 1930's. We are curious to find out what is the artist name. Any help is greatly appreciated.

芳翠　-　Hōsui

Most probably Yamamoto Hōsui 山本芳翠 1850-1906
In his early years he painted traditional Japanese painting. Later became a Western style painter.
