Subject:Odd Japanese vase?
Posted By: Martin V. Wed, Oct 28, 2020 IP: 2a01:cb05:8362:5000:

Hello,

I know almost nothing about this vase. It seems quite modern to me? Maybe Showa periods.

Any/all opinions would be welcome.

Regards,

Inscription on lid,
叙勲受章記念 - As Souvenir for Conferment of Decoration
川淵与一 - Kawabuchi Yoichi
平成六年四月吉日 - On an Auspicious Day of the 6th Year of Heisei (1994)

The attached glossy piece of paper comtains the shortened personal history of three generations of Takaoka based copper artist family.

1st gen. Yamamoto Hōzan born in 1878
2nd gen. - " - born in 1902
3rd gen. - " - born in 1949

The other piece of paper summerizes the history of Takaoka copper casting.

With regards,
I.Nagy
