Subject:Chinese wood carving Foo dog/ Lion and Dragon

Hi Just wonder if there is a story to this carving. Is it a special scene or just made up when carved?? Age??, No idea. Some peeling of the paint a few places. 75 cm length, 36 cm high.

Hello,
it´s a balinese folk art carving, depicting "singa barong gets some lunch " - Not really old, since pigments look fresh and shiny. ( max. 40 years; maybe much younger, if it was applied outside )

Not sure about the specific imagery of the piece but fairly certain it is not Chinese, but rather Indonesian Hindu.

I believe your carving may have been done in Bali, fairly recently, considering its fresh look.
