Subject:Japanese Woodblocks - How Old?
Posted By: Tim Gustke Tue, Aug 25, 2020 IP: 24.20.120.12

Need some help identifying how old these woodblock prints may be, and if any value. They are numbers 8,9, & 34 in a series of 83 according to notation on back. On very light paper pasted to cardboard.

Hello, Tim,

This are chinese stone rubbings. Probably made around 1950 or even newer. You can google and easily find some values and other info.

Take care,

MB

These woodblock prints are Chinese, depicting the
story of the silk-producing credited to Xiling-shi the consort of the Yellow Emperor.
I think they are not older than 50 years.

With regards,
I.Nagy
