Inscriptions on painting,
郭上　小某王素冩　-　Painted at the outer wall of the city by Xiaomou Wang Su
Upper seal,
王素　-　Wang Su
Lower seal,
小某　-　Xiaomou

Wang Su 王素　1794-1877
Original given name was Xiaomu 小某
Native of Ganchuan, today's Jiangsu. Studied painting with Bao Jitian. Was good at figures, animals, birds, flowers, insects and fishes.

Inscriptions on the backside,
紙本王小某人物　-　Paper, Wang Xiaomou, Figures
老人試杆　- Old man tests the scale pole
