Subject:Help identifying design and Taiwan stamp on vase
Posted By: Melissa Sun, May 17, 2020 IP: 2601:602:9e00:7ca0:f

I'm looking for info on this vase, both the stamp and the design on the vase itself. Thanks in advance!

Bottom mark,
中華陶磁 - Zhonghua Taoci - China Ceramics
As of the design on the vase,
These are the 10 different seal-script versions of character 壽 "long life".

With regards,
I.Nagy

The mark in seal script reads down and across from the top right as 'China Porcelain' (Zhong-hua Tao-ci - 中華陶磁). The last character is a variant form of 'Ci/瓷', which also is used with 'Tao/陶' to mean 'Porcelain'. The form '磁' also has a meaning of 'Magnetism'.

The bottle vase looks to be a probably vintage product with incised motif depicting various forms of the Long Life character Shou (壽).

Best regards,

Bill H.
