Subject:Bronze axe head

Any ideas about this axe head would be appreciated.
It measures 7.2 x 4.5 x 1.5 cm. It was part of a lot of Asian objects and described as Han Dynasty, but I'm not sure how old it is or even if it's Chinese at all. I've checked it under the microscope, and it is clearly old. It would have extended no further than it does, though some of the sides of the socket have broken off. At the notch there is a slight ridge that extends vertically on both sides.
