Subject:Feedback on Chinese porcelain pot - Jiajing?

Would anyone be so kind to provide any insight on this pot?

We purchased this for @$80 in Hong Kong in the early 1990's. I understand that the markings indicate the Jiajing six character mark. This measures @ 4 1/2" in diameter.

大明嘉靖年製　-　Daiming Jiajing Nianzhi
The above apocryphal reign mark translates as "Manufactured in the reign years of Jiajing" (Jianjing (title of reign (1552-1566) of Zhu Houcong, 11th emperor of the Qing Dynasty)
Please ignore its attribution to the Jiajing period.
I think it was new in the early 1990s.
