Subject:Need help identifying writing on bottom dish
Posted By: Sybren Thu, Oct 04, 2018 IP: 185.243.89.195

Hello everyone,

I recently inherited a dish from my grandmother that was a gift to her father (my great-grandfather) after his long time chairmanship of the farmers union. Don't have any more information and would really appreciate if you could take a look at the writing on the bottom of the dish en could give me some more information of the plate itself.

Thanks so much.

The mark is a 6-character Kangxi (Qing Dynasty) mark, which was used on imperial pieces between 1662-1722. It looks lovely, but I can't help at all with authenticating / dating it - this is something that requires an expert given the prevalence of apocryphal marks and modern fakes. Hope this helped :)
