Dear All,

I am very much interested in dating the Sukhothai-bronze gilt statue statue you can zoom at

The statue is 47 cm tall. What do you think? The seller is dating it at the 18th century.

I am not 100% certain, but I am 80% certain this is a fake.

I think it could easily not be fake. It would need to be examined closely in person.

Hi Paul,
I also think it is a genuine type, whatever it does mean in terms of dates.
I think that we live in different countries and it might be "difficult" to see the statue "de visu" (but we can privately communicate on that). I am happy to provide any picture/measurement/information that might help you in this assessment exercise.
