Subject:Chinese blue and white storage jar

Hi

I do a some collecting of Chinese and Japanese pottery with my husband. I bought this storage jar at an auction. It was only described as antique. I would like to know more because it is an unusual shape. The base is nearly 12 inches across. It has no mark. From my experience, it is indeed old with primitive signs of making. But I could be wrong. Thank you for any information.
