The Ghanta made of special five-metal bronze alloy according to an ancient formula, features a high quality long lasting vibration tone when struck. The ornate thunderbolt bell knob has five prongs and is adorned with face of Avalokiteshvara. The mantra of Avalokiteshvara shown on top of the bell is "Om Mani Padme Hum" enclosed in each of the eight Lotus pedals. Two of the six mantra syllables were divided in half to fit into the eight Lotus petal decoration. Also, there are mythical Snow Lion and scrolling Dorje motifs can be seen on the bell. The Dorje has beautifully detailed matching five prongs forming on both ends. The Ghanta has a high quality long lasting vibration tone when struck.
