The drawing depicting Vaishravana – a jewel in his right hand, the left holding his jewel-spitting mongoose, symbols of his status as the God of Wealth Such drawings were rolled up and inserted into an image to consecrate it at the time of its first ‘awakening’. Drawings such as this are exceedingly rare.
