Detail:scene on the river Made in the late 18th century in Nepal, the album, which likely contained as many as 100 folios was probably commissioned by one of the early kings of Shah dynasty of Nepal. Now dispersed, folios from this album can be found in many collections, including the the Metropolitan Museum which has several folios.
