The front side of this painting depicts deities, bodhisattvas and auspicious symbols. The reverse side has an inscription as well as a depiction of a ram and a jewel within a lotus. This double-sided banner may have been hung near a sculpture as a depiction of protective deities. The palette is limited to the black of the background and bright red and yellow and a subdued white.
