Please would anyone be so kind as to give me some information on a carving I have.
I think it is of considerable age 18th/19th Century, parts of the wood on the back are almost spongelike as it is extremely dry.
The finish is a very good gilt red lacquer. 55x 52cm.
I cant seem to find a similar depiction in carved wood or paintings.
