Message The legend of the seal refers to the Ming dynasty, whereas the artist's name carved on its side is Wu Changshuo, a late Qing painter/calligrapher/antiquarian, and seal carver. This seal was not carved by him. Here are two examples in which he uses the carving knife to inscribe his name: https://www.christies.com.cn/en/lot/lot-6038784 https://www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/media/collection_images/5/59.2020%23%23S.jpg Post a Response |
