When flipped 180 degrees, the somewhat indistinct base mark on this piece can be read in seal script as "Made during the Qianlong reign" (Qian long nian zhi). May be a Chinese late 20th century soft paste crackle-glazed ceramic blank that was decorated in a Hong Kong or Macao painting workshop circa the 1960's or subsequently. Possible use of printed transfers is suggested by apparent repeating features of the pattern.

Best regards,

Bill H.
