Message When flipped 180 degrees, the somewhat indistinct base mark on this piece can be read in seal script as "Made during the Qianlong reign" (Qian long nian zhi). May be a Chinese late 20th century soft paste crackle-glazed ceramic blank that was decorated in a Hong Kong or Macao painting workshop circa the 1960's or subsequently. Possible use of printed transfers is suggested by apparent repeating features of the pattern. Best regards, Bill H. Post a Response |
