Chinese Yellow Vase, Animals Dragons MonoGrammed With Calligraphy Red Seal On Bottom |

Message The apocryphal six character base mark reads, 大清同治年製 - Made During the Tongzhi Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty (1861-1875) However, your vase is from the 21st century. Besides of the flowers, dragons, cock and rabbit there are four ligatured ( characters arrranged in special formations) idioms related to New Year. Pic.1, Left of the cock, 黄金萬両 - Ten thousand golden tael Right of the cock, 日日財進 - Growing wealth day by day Pic.2, Left of the rabbit, 日進斗金 - Ten peck of gold every day Right of the rabbit, 招財進寳 - Ushering in wealth and prosperity With regards, I.Nagy Post a Response |
