Message Rather than remount the entire picture, which looks to be in decent condition for its 104 years of age, you can save a good deal of money by having a mounter apply stiff reinforcing strips across the back of the painting where the creasing appears most severe and brittle. That will conserve the picture itself for a good while longer if you can tolerate the losses along the edges of the mounting. Post a Response |
