Message You have a Japanese charger with transfer decoration. I've seen some of these blue & white dishes with brown 'piecrust' outer rims that have an impressed underglaze phonetic mark for the Arita Yamatoku kilns. See the enhanced image below of one such mark in case you'd like to take another look at the bottom. These marks can be difficult to see under the glaze. In any event, no doubt in my mind your dish is Japanese, probably circa late 19th-early 20th century. Best regards, Bill H. ![]() |
