Message The painting is surely Japanese. Title, 清 - Shin - Refreshing - (Somewhat misleading title, the negligent beholder easily mistakes it for the Chinese "Qing" dynasty name) Signature, 河野共武 - Kōno Kyōbu (Tomotake) Seal, 中埜共武 - Nakano Kyōbu (Tomotake) The character "no" 埜 is the variant of 野. The unidentifiable artist might have had two surnames, Kōno and Nakano - sometimes happens. With regards, I.Nagy Post a Response |
