Message If the picture is Japanese - what it looks like, Signature, 風來山人之畫 - Picture of Furaisanjin Seal, 風來山人 - Furaisanjin Inscription on the back of scroll, 風來山人画 - Picture of Furaisanjin Furaisanjin (Hermit brought by the wind) is one of the pseudonyms of the famous Edo period polyhistor Hiraga Gennai 平賀源内 1728-1780. Although, I can't find same reference signature and seal. Is his painting really 250 years old ? Do you know something about Its provenance ? In Chinese this pseudonym reads, Fenglaishanren Unknown pseudonym in Chinese art literature. However, the Korean provenance either cannot be ruled out. With regards, I.Nagy Post a Response |
