Ojime Beads , best cleaning method. |
Posted By: Carolie McLaughlin Posted Date: Aug 25, 2019 (07:46 AM) |
Message Can anyone advise me on if I should try and clean these Ojime beads? Or would it be better to leave as is? They were passed down in my family from my great great grandfather, who ran a successful Chinese trading company in the mid 1800's. A half dozen are carved ivory or bone, a few wood, but the majority, 50 plus, an assortment of metal beads. They are tarnished and some have green oxidation, copper I assume. Is there an online source to try and identify any of them? Thanks Carolie McLauglin |
