教育いろは談語
Kyoiku Iroha Dango
Abc of the Moral Education "Yo"
用心に如くはない
骨皮道人
Yojin ni shiku wa nai
You can never be too careful
Koppi Dojin

A bit late, but I am here with the translaton of the inscriptions.

Clang clang, the sound of half a bell startling the ears.
The ever-cautious father wakes up with a start.
"There's a fire, there's a fire, everyone's awake,
Yeah, what are you waiting for? Get out the safety baskets, the safety baskets, where's the coating clay? I've already unlocked the chests, why are you trembling so much with this colander with the earthenware in it? You'll catch a cold in your nightgown, please change into a kimono quickly, don't panic at a time like this, and be brave."
Wife "I don't know which one of us is more upset, well, you, please be quiet. As far as I'm concerned, you haven't even checked the fire yet.
I dont want you be that careless.
It would be better if it were far away, but if the fire was close by, all this stuff would be reduced to ashes." Wife "It's the second strike of the bell,* so it's all right" Father "Oh, it may be the second strike of the bell, or it may be third strike of bell, but there's no use of not being cautious". Anyhow, let's go and see the fire.
Wife, "Hello, you can't wear slippers with all this rain coming down." Father,"It's just a precaution in case the weather turns".

* A bell that strikes every hour to bell the time

With regards,
I.Nagy
