Hello,
I would appreciate if someone could provide any information about this vase, like where and when it vase made. Also what do you think the material is?

Hi. It is a Chinese soapstone carving. It appears to be from the 1st half of the 20th century although someone else may have a better idea of the dates.

I think also that it is Chinese soapstone carving.
As to date I think it's Republic period 1912-49.

Hi,

There were many similar soapstone pieces in the shops along Nathan Road, Hong Kong in 1968. So mid to late 20th century is a conservative time frame.
