Posted By: Bill H Sun, Feb 19, 2023 The mark appears to read from right to left as "Zhu Maosheng" (朱茂盛) although the last character is a bit unclear. During the late 19th-early 20th century, Zhu Maosheng was a prolific source of porcelain images like yours, representing the "Budai Heshang" or "Cloth Sack Monk", Also called the Happy Buddha", an avatar of the Bodhisattva or Mortal Buddha Maitreya. |
