Posted By: charlie Tue, Jan 10, 2023 Many thanks for the info. Does the manufacture date to 1928? The decoration is incised and boldly enamelled... (see photos) Diameter 35cm. I have not seen anything which looks like this, would you know who the artist might be or do they tend to be anonymous? Thanks |

Posted By: I.Nagy Thu, Jan 12, 2023 The Year of Earth-Dragon comes around in every 60th year. 1868 would be too early, and 1988 to late for this decoration. It is typical of the Republic of China period. |

Posted By: Charlie Sun, Jan 15, 2023 Thanks so much for your reply and further info. I can just about see the resemblance in the base characters… obviously a different hand and maybe not as well painted? My bowl, in my opinion, has far better detail and quality of painting… I’m wondering (hoping) if my bowl might be 1868 and not 1928? I would value your final word on this. Thanks |

Posted By: Charlie Sun, Jan 15, 2023 It may of course just be by a ‘better artist’ in the Republic Period (1928)? |
