Posted By: rat Wed, Jan 04, 2023 the mark reads "Made during the Chenghua reign" (period during the Ming known for its quality), but the previous owner/dealer's sticker seems to date this piece to the Daoguang reign (1820-1850) |

Posted By: Bill H Thu, Jan 05, 2023 the 2006 edition of the Mainland China-published “Collection of Classical Markings on Chinese Historical Porcelains” (Zhongguo lidai taoci kuanzhi dadian - 中国历代陶瓷款识大典) shows that Chenghua marks were fabricated from the reigns of late Ming successors all the way into the 20th century. |
