Subject:Age of Imari ware?
Posted By: Paul Wed, Sep 14, 2022 IP: 12.23.214.140 Hi, this piece is unmarked. Is there any way of identifying its age or origin? Is it less valuable than a marked piece? |

Consider that Hizen porcelain was generally unmarked until the Meiji era with the notable exception of ko Kutani, which often bore a "fu-ku" (good luck) mark. Unfortunately, marks/signatures are often more highly valued by collectors than artistic merit. |
