Subject:Chinese ? marked Uni bowls
Posted By: Martin Michels Sun, Sep 04, 2022 IP: 2001:1c03:5811:6800:

I received a question about these uni bowls.
I think they are Chinese, because the mark starts with "Da Qing" 大清 but are not followed by a name of an emperor IMO.

So the questions are:
1) What is the mark saying?
2) Are the bowls really Qing period?
3) How old are they?

Hopefully someone can provide me with the answers.
Thanks in advance.
Martin.

The markings read "Great Qing Dynasty for the Imperial Kitchen" (Da qing yu shan fang - 大清御膳房). Google turned up one Chinese language website that showed a Langyao red bowl with similar marking that was claimed to be of the Yongzheng kiln. In my opinion, the cups shown here look to have more modern, probably late 20th century colored enamel glazes.
