Subject:Chinese Art Artist Identification
Posted By: Stan Burns Sun, Aug 14, 2022 IP: 2606:54c0:7680:6c58:

need assistance in identifying this artist. Im quiet sure its Chinese. The material is rice paper. One of the seal and text is clearly visible. But, I have been unable to take a clear picture of the other seal, as it's covered by the artist, maybe on purpose. Of course, there's no way I can know for sure.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Stan

It is Chinese.
丁卯年 - Year of Fire-Rabbit (...1987)
Seal,
李敏書画 - Painting and Calligraphy of Lĭ Mĭn
The second seal is illegibly smudged.
I found three painters with the same surname and given name, but in absence of proper online reference works I cannot identify the artist of this work.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Rat,

Regarding your last message to me. I wanted to know if you think the bottom seal could be, " Lu Chong" instead of "Baked Lup Chong" I know if difficult to read.

Stan

Hi Stan,
I. Nagy is right, the second seal is too difficult to read from your photo, you would need a filter and some processing to isolate it from the background and clarify it a bit. The other dude posing as rat isn't me, but has been posting random stuff for entertainment under a few different names now because he can.
