Subject:Japanese sliding doors
Posted By: Luc Bouchet Sun, Aug 14, 2022 IP: 2001:56a:7c06:2700:3 Hello, these sliding doors were purchased in Tokyo a long time ago, and are from the Meiji period apparently. The characters may be old Japanese or Chinese...can anyone provide any insight as to meaning and decorative style represented here? One of the characters means "sake"... Thanks in advance! |
