does anyone know what this object is and what it says from the script.

The mark, shown upside down, reads down and across from the top left as "Made in China" (Zhong guo zhi zao - 中國制造). Chinese character ceramic markings that are read from the left reflect the western system adopted by The PRC after 1949.

it's pictured upside down and reads "manufactured in China"
