Subject:Indian Miniature Painting

Hello Everybody,
I recently bought the Indian piece below. I think it may be an older court painting and would like to know if people in the forum agree with me and also what is the painting about. The top of the painting has written language (perhaps Hindi) and I would also like to know what the translation is. Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

Hello,

According to someone I know with an MA in Sanskrit, the language used in the script above is Devanagari. Unfortunately, that person cannot read Devanagari. Hopefully, that can point you in the right direction though. Good luck!
