Subject:Chinese incense burner
Posted By: Peter Fri, Jun 17, 2022 IP: 178.165.202.18 I'd be grateful to learn if this object is indeed, as I suspect, a type of Chinese incense burner. A translation of the characters would also be much appreciated. |

Posted By: I.Nagy Fri, Jun 17, 2022 Your incense burner is Japanese, The central circular part with the square hole in the middle imitates the the head side of the famous Kan`ei Tsūhō (寛永通寶)copper coin which was in use in Japan from 1626 until 1868. |
