Subject:Help, identifying Chinese/Japanese Folding Fan history?
Posted By: Dramacydril Mon, May 09, 2022 IP: 86.91.152.84

Hello to all,

I wanted some help on a Chinese/Japanese? Folding fan that i bought from the thrift store here in the Netherlands. It was 2 euro's. It caught my eye, i liked it and was interested in its history. It was framed by ART PRESENTATIONS in Claremond AUS.

I contacted them to ask if they knew something about it but they dont remember anymore because it was framed 5 years ago. The frame is quite heave and made from wood en glass/

So now i post here to see if some expert in Folding Fans knows when it was made and where it probably came from.

Thanks in advance

All the way from Australia. Wow
Not my area as i don't deal with fans but because I am from Australia I will Hazzard an opinion. Hopefully I will be corrected by more astute collectors etc.
I believe it is Chinese and rather modern as in a tourist type fan.
Regardless well framed and certainly look the part on a wall.
Regards,
Mark@imperial

Thanks for your message Mark. If its a tourist fan than that would make sense. Still hope to hear some more opinions.
