Subject:Japanese Kutani mark and date
Posted By: AAF Visitor Tue, Dec 28, 2021 IP: 130.105.160.59,165.2

This mark is at the bottom of a Sake bottle, seems to be a Japanese Kutani. Any help in identifying the maker and possible date of production is appreciated.

The mark indeed reads: Kutani 九谷 (from right to left). Maker unknown, no maker mark.
Without any additional pictures of the object dating this is not possible.
Regards,
Martin.

Looking at the mark and the decoration, it's IMO a mid 20th century item.
Martin.
