Subject:Evaluating & identifying Chinese scrolls

Hi everyone, I’m trying to do some research for a friend who has became the owner of two Chinese scrolls and is contemplating selling them if they are of any value. One has calligraphy on it and one (pictures in the replies) is with paper cuttings and seems to be almost 10m long. It also seems to be of higher quality and was supplied Witt gloves and a magnifying glass. The back is a thicker layer of something that looks like plastic-satin…
Any information would be amazing. Even just pointing me in the right direction… many thanks

I think it is a repro.

I found only one reference work online from the above, otherwise unidentifiable artist. (repro)

Second scroll,
On this scroll similar to woodprints, but re- produced by modern printing technique, persons from the "Romance of Three Kingdoms" are depicted.

It doesn't have appreciable value on art market.

This scroll is made of originally hand made paper cuttings. its rather a type of folklore art. The scroll of this size is an ambitious souvenir, which could have been a bit more expensive, but remains to have the more sentimental value. May be it was sold in a museum. with gloves and looking glass it should have a box, and a label too.

What sort of value do these type of scrolls have? Are we talking £20-£50 or £50-£100 or even less? I’m sure not having the box doesn’t help…

Even though the scroll has some mashine made features, I do not think you could buy such a set at the venue for less than a 100£. It would cost probably more.
