This is a copy of a Japanese wine pot. The original of this vessel was made as counterfeit in 1937 by Kato Tokuro 加藤唐九郎 a ceramist and researcher in the history of ceramics. In 1959 it was designated as an important cultural property, a masterpiece of Koseto (Old Seto) in Kamakura period. After 2 years it has turned out that the pot was an art forgery. It became a scandal involving the government.
It is said that the truth of the case still remains a mystery.

Nagy, thank you for your detailed help. Does this mean mine is one of the 1937 Ko-Seto Replica, Einin Tsubo, Kato Tokuro made that was a counterfeit of an earlier period?

The sources are contradictory about that how many counterfeit Einin no Tsubos were made by Katō Tokurō.
On the net I could find two copied versions of the counterfeits;
a, Name of potter signed; 水野政春 Mizuno Masaharu
(your version)
b, Name of potter signed: 水埜政春 Mizuno Masaharu
(埜 is the alternative form of 野)
According to available sources on the net one of these "real" counterfeit Einin no Tsubos is on display in the Suishōen Tōgei Memorial Museum in Nagoya. The rest is a mystery.

With regards,
I.Nagy
