Looking to find who or whom this butterfly seal mark is from and a possible date and location. Thanks to all...

From research the only reference I could find is this Pottery & Porcelian Marks which show the butterfly with other marks from the 1700's.

The 2006 Mainland China-published “Collection of Classical Markings on Chinese Historical Porcelains” (Zhongguo lidai taoci kuanzhi dadian - 中国历代陶瓷款识大典) also shows a different version of the butterfly mark on an apparently fragmentary blue & white dish dated to the Kangxi reign (1662-1722), which supports Dave's findings.

Thanks very much Bill H. I have not been able to find another butterfly seal like this one. It is also marked with what looks like a backwards "E" or perhaps a number "3" as shown.

Following up on your lead Bill H. I came across some information of the common faults on authentic Kangxi porcelain.Attached picture shows the faults. It will be a pleasant surprise if this turns out to be Kangxi.
