元祐元年清涼寺張家窯御製
Made in the First Year of Yuanyu in the Zhangjia Kiln of Qingliang Temple

1st Year of Yuanyu (1086) The Northern Song Dynasty used this era name.

Of course your vase is not that old.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Dear Mr. Nagy,
thank you so much. And may I ask you about this mark, too. I don't know anybody else to ask and you are always so helpful. Best wishes

This mark, which also is translatable in Chinese as "Mark of the Wang Dongwang Congregational Hall" (王東旺聚堂記 - Wang dong wang ju tang ji), is still in use. Here's a lot from a 29 September 2020 Chinese auction, on an identically marked "doucai" (contending colors) vase.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thank you very much for the information. Did I get you right, Bill, that it is more likely to find the mark on modern pieces? And is there a description in the chinese auction with some more information? Best, Peter

There was nothing concerning a date a date for the vase in the information given. Looks like a modern piece to me, based on the less than transparent colored enamels. Here are images of a small pair of early 18th century doucai cups, previously in my collection with apocryphal Ming Chenghua period marks and a more typical early Qing doucai palette.

Best regards,

Bill H.
