Subject:Please help identify this large stone sculpture/bowl decorated with fish

My wife and I purchased a home in the US in an estate sale, and the home came with a lot of furniture and decorations. I know the deceased homeowner was born in Hong Kong based on her obituary, but that is the extent of my knowledge of her and this sculpture's ties to Asia.

It is very heavy and made of some kind of stone (jade? marble?). I didn't try to measure it, but it's approximately 3'L x 2'W x 2'H. It looks like some kind of bird bath or fish bowl, but the inside bowl part is completely empty. The outer rim is decorated with carved fish (koi?). The entire piece is varying shades of green in layers, which seems to suggest it was carved from a single piece of stone.

It is sitting atop a rough-finished wood base, but it doesn't seem to be attached to the base. I was able to slide it on the base. I didn't try lifting it all the way off, because it's extremely heavy. So if there are any markings on the bottom of the stone piece, I haven't been able to get to them yet. I'll need another set of hands for access to that.

I was hoping someone might know what this is. We'd ultimately like to sell it if it is valuable, so any recommendations as to a professional appraiser or auctioneer that specializes in Asian collectors items and art would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it's a chinese dragon bird bath from the later part of the 20th century.
It's not marble. I think it is treated serpentine.
As for selling it. Any local auction that deals with asian art should be OK. It's nothing special but it's a highly decorative piece.
