Subject:Request for Information Regarding Painting

I bought this painting and would like to know a bit about it. It's on canvas and appears to be an oil painting(?). It's approximately 60 inches X 36 inches. It's mounted under glass on a somewhat cheap frame - like it might have been pulled from its original frame. Does anyone know where it might be from and what the image subject matter is? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: Looking more closely the painting appears to be on a thin fabric, not what I would think of as "canvas" (thicker).

Possibly an Indonesian painting depicting one of the battles in the Mahabharata.

I think it is more likely to be Thai, not too old, early 20th c. perhaps.
