To begin with, we should approach a vase that has been converted into a lampstand with some caution. Judging by the photo, the most striking feature is the ring-shaped decorative element. The photo shows that it was made using embossing (which is common in counterfeits) — unlike the originals, where these were hand-carved and applied to the side.

Thank you for the feedback. A few years ago I did find an 'ancient' Chinese vase that had been made into a lamp so I'm always curious when I find an item that looks right.
